Pulp & Paper

Paper making requires the use of harmful chemicals to treat wood shavings in preparation for making pulp into paper.  Among these are sodium sulfide and sodium hydroxide, which are the primary chemicals used in pulp making. Once the pulp has been made, it is dried and the chemicals are left behind with the wastewater. This wastewater is highly toxic and not suitable for reuse or discharge.

Synder Filtration is committed to significantly reducing the environmental impact in discharging these chemicals, while optimizing the overall processes in these facilities.

NFX Nanofiltration Membrane For Wastewater Processing
Synder’s NFX Nanofiltration membrane can process wastewater containing the harmful chemicals used in pulp & paper mills and not only retain those chemical for reuse, but produce a very high effluent quality.  The limited environmental impact matched with reduced operating costs make Synder’s NFX element the ideal tool for achieving multiple ends in the pulp & paper industry.
