RO-SYN2-4040 Element
The SYN-2-membrane is ideal where high salt rejection is a necessity and is the standard for most water purification processes. This membrane is preferred when feedwater TDS exceeds 3000ppm and typically operates between 150 and 200 PSI. In addition, Synder's UF and NF membranes and systems offer excellent pretreatment for a wide variety of applications.
PERFORMANCE TESTING
| Model | Active Membrane Area sq. ft (sq. m) |
Average/Minimum Salt Rejection (%) | Average Permeate Flow GPD (m3/day) |
| RO-SYN2-4040 | 85 (7.9) | 99.5/98.5 | 2,400 (9.0) |
*Peformance based on following test conditions: 2,000 ppm NaCL, 225.0 psi, 25°C, 15% recovery, pH 8.0, 30 minutes operation
* Permeate flow is clean water flux at standard conditions above. Not applicable for all feedwater conditions. Individual element's permeate flow may vary +/- 15%.![]()

RO-SYN4-4040 Element
The SYN-4 membrane offers excellent performance for feed streams with relatively low TDS (3,000 ppm), while operating at very low pressures. Typically requiring a feed pressure of 100 - 150 PSI, the SYN-4 boasts very high flux rates while still averages a 99.0% salt rejection. Combined with reduced operating costs, the SYN-4 is a cost effective option for reverse osmosis water treatment.
