RO-SYN2-8040 Element
The 8" SYN-2-membrane is ideal where high salt rejection is a necessity for large volume, production scale operations. This membrane is preferred when feedwater TDS exceeds 3000ppm and typically operates between 150 and 200 PSI. In addition, Synder's UF and NF membranes and systems offer excellent pretreatment for a wide variety of applications.
PERFORMANCE TESTING
| Model | Active Membrane Area sq. ft (sq. m) |
Average/Minimum Salt Rejection (%) | Average Permeate Flow GPD (m3/day) |
| RO-SYN2-8040 | 400 (37.2) | 99.5/98.5 | 10,700 (40.0) |
*Peformance based on following test conditions: 2,000 ppm NaCL, 225.0 psi, 25°C, 15% recovery, pH 8.0, 30 minutes operation
* Permeate flow is clean water flux at standard conditions above. Not applicable for all feedwater conditions. Individual element's permeate flow may vary +/- 15%.![]()

RO-SYN4-8040 Element
The 8" SYN-4 membrane offers excellent performance for feed streams with relatively low TDS (3,000 ppm), while operating at very low pressures. Designed for large scale, production operations, this element typically operates at 100 - 150 PSI, the SYN-4 boasts very high flux rates while still averaging a 99.0% salt rejection. Combined with reduced operating costs, the SYN-4 is a cost effective option for reverse osmosis water treatment.
